Day 8

Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 62:7-8

Jesus is our rest and refuge. We could not go out today and meet people, not hang out with new friends, or skip our villages, and we would still be saved and deeply loved by our Heavenly Father. We find a deep soul rest in Christ, and it is from that daily rest in Him we work.

You might be having a horrible few days of WoW. You might be hearing the lies that your work is not enough. You might be wondering if God is pleased with you, but the rest we get from God comes from the work of Jesus. Jesus tells us that weary people should come to Him because He is rest, our rest. That the burden he offers us is light.

If you feel heavy today, bring it to God, lay it at His feet, and spend time with the rest that is Jesus. Then go to your community and ask for help. Let them pray, encourage and speak truth over you, reminding you that what Jesus offers is easy and light.
