John 13:31-35

Evangelism can occur by explicitly communicating the gospel to others. To learn a practical way to share the gospel, check out resonate.net/huddle and click on the Missional Living Wheel.

Evangelism has another major component beyond sharing the gospel. Evangelism is also how we live our lives towards others, and Jesus gives us a command here in this text.

More specifically than a call to live our lives for Christ, Jesus commands us to love one another. He also tells us in verse 35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” By the way we love others, people will know that we are disciples of Christ.

We evangelize with our words and we evangelize with the way we act, the way we love.

Church, we represent Jesus everyday. We evangelize by word and by deed. Think about your life, is your life evangelistic of Christ?
