In the world, strength looks like power, control, success, and having it all together. But in the Kingdom of God, strength often shows up in the form of dependence, humility, and even weakness. God's power isn’t reserved for the strong, it’s made perfect in weakness. When we’re at the end of ourselves, God is just getting started. In the upside-down Kingdom, surrender leads to strength.

Read 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (ESV)

" 9 But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Reflection:

  1. Where in your life do you feel weak, and how might God want to show up there?

  2. Why does God reveal His power through our weakness?
