Week 5: Jesus the Son of Man
Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-40, John 12:12-19
In these texts, we are coming to the final moments of Jesus’ life.
The triumphal entry. This feels like a pretty exciting scene; the long-awaited King has finally come to save them from the wretched Roman Empire. Yet, we know that is not what happens. What happens is death and resurrection, and a much more powerful, eternal Kingdom is established.
